The Perfect Weekend in Paris: Where to Eat, Drink & Stay
A seamless Paris weekend: where to eat, where to drink, and where to stay in style.
There’s truly never a wrong time to escape to Paris. Whether it’s a milestone celebration, a romantic getaway, or simply a chic weekend away, the French capital has a way of making even the shortest trips unforgettable. My vision of the perfect Paris weekend? Elevated, stylish, and effortlessly seamless…for me, it’s all about where to eat, where to drink, and where to stay.
Where to Stay
Hôtel Plaza Athénée – The epitome of Parisian glamour, with Eiffel Tower views, legendary service, and indulgent Dior spa treatments.
Hôtel La Fantaisie – A whimsical boutique hotel in the 9th, where playful interiors meet lush greenery. Designed with the intention of bringing nature indoors, it’s a fresh, garden-inspired escape in the heart of Paris. Alongside its beautifully designed rooms, the hotel’s garden bar and rooftop terrace make it one of the city’s most charming spots for cocktails al fresco.
Le Meurice – Old-world Paris meets contemporary design, just steps from the Tuileries Gardens and a short stroll from the Louvre.
Lutetia – A storied Left Bank landmark reimagined with Mandarin Oriental service, where Art Deco elegance meets modern luxury. Its coveted balconies deliver postcard-perfect Paris vistas, with many framing the Eiffel Tower itself.
Insider Tip: Suites book up months in advance. This is where having a travel concierge makes all the difference: think upgrades, VIP welcomes, and perks you won’t find online.
Where to Eat: Chic Paris Tables
Chez l’Ami Louis – A legendary bistro famed for its roast chicken, truffles, and unapologetically French charm.
Maison du Caviar – A Paris classic where old-world elegance meets indulgence. Order the caviar baked potato with champagne for the ultimate luxury pairing.
Loulou – Set within the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Loulou is where Paris’s stylish set gathers. The glamorous terrace and Riviera-inspired menu make it as much about the scene as the cuisine, best enjoyed with spritzes and pasta.
Lafayette’s – One of Paris’s buzziest new addresses on Rue d’Anjou, Lafayette’s mixes modern French dining with a glamorous, see-and-be-seen atmosphere. Think velvet banquettes, champagne on ice, and late-night energy that feels undeniably Parisian.
Where to Have a Drink
Serpent à Plume – Hidden beneath Place des Vosges, this moody cocktail lounge feels like a secret enclave for Paris’s stylish set. Equal parts bar and jazz club, it’s a go-to for late-night cocktails, live music, and a scene that blends old-world decadence with modern edge.
Bar Hemingway, Ritz Paris – Legendary and intimate, this wood-paneled hideaway at the Ritz is a Paris icon. Once Hemingway’s haunt, today it’s famed for perfectly shaken martinis, classic cocktails, and an atmosphere that whispers old-world glamour.
Bar Les Ambassadeurs, Hôtel de Crillon – A gilded jewel overlooking Place de la Concorde, where frescoed ceilings and ornate walls set the stage for champagne and cocktails. Elegant, vibrant, and utterly Parisian — an evening here feels like stepping into another era of sophistication.
Folderol – Equal parts natural wine bar and artisanal ice cream shop, Folderol is effortlessly cool. The vibe is low-key yet lively, with locals spilling out onto the street for a glass of wine and a scoop. It’s the perfect spot when you want something stylish but unpretentious.
For me, Paris is all about the details! The right table, the right bar, the right view. When those pieces come together, the city feels like it’s opening itself just for you. Whether it’s a weekend or a week, the key is knowing where to go and Paris will always reward you for it. For my clients, that’s where I come in and making sure the right tables, the right views, and the right experiences are always waiting.
